Your Session

You Can Share My RabbitChild Session

I will spend a while before going into the studio with you and your child(ren) in order to get to know them a little and to help them relax. Once in the studio, you may be asked to help pose the child – or you may be encouraged to remain in the waiting area. This all depends on how the child is settling in and how much I think I might need you.

I would ask you to limit the amount of people you bring along to help you. The more people in the studio at a time, the more confused a child will become and the less they will co-operate with me.

Bring as many changes of clothes with you as you like, however, it is unlikely the child will let you get through more than two!

If there is a favourite toy / blanket / teddy at home, please feel free to bring it along.

Picnic

I always ask parents to bring along a small picnic with them. I have found that children can be a little fazed by the studio. When we take them out to the waiting room, give them a snack of juice, crisps, apple pieces, etc, they return to the studio much happier.

What to Wear?

Something comfortable! Children will always be happier in their *normal* clothes. Think seriously about large logos on tee shirts or jumpers – it may be extremely distracting in the final image. If you are bringing more than one child, their clothes do not need to match – but they should, at least, co-ordinate rather than clash!

I don’t insist on bare feet in the studio – but small children sitting down often display the bottom of their shoes which are not as cute as toes!

How Long Will It Be?

Studio sessions with one child can take as little as 45 minutes, more than one child will take around an hour. The more relaxed they are, the faster it will go! I try not to have sessions back to back and will accommodate nappy changes, picnics, and even tantrums!

When Can We See The Photos?

After your session we will give you a date, usually within a week, to come back and view your photos. We love seeing a client’s reaction to their photos. Tissues will be on hand if needed! We don’t try to pressurise you into making your mind up about which images to order at this time but if you are able to make decisions on the spot we will add an extra 10×8 to your order, free of charge. After the viewing you will have all our products and prices explained to you.

Orders

If you have opted for a Print Credit session you will then have 7 working days to return your order. Payment for everything you have ordered is due at this point. Your order will then be available to be picked up from the studio within:

- 7-10 days for prints

- 10-15 days for framed prints

- 4 weeks for canvases

- 4-6 weeks for Photo Books

We will contact you as soon as your order is complete.

Original files will be kept by Susan Collins Photography for a maximum of 3 months from the viewing date. We feel this is enough time for you to order everything you wish from the session and for other family members to watch the DVD.
