Over the weekend my friend Lorna and I took our children to the Hillsborough Garden Festival. Yes. In the rain. It was fairly muddy.
We got wet. -.-
When we returned home Lorna whisked out Devilish Cupcakes she had bought at the Lisburn Farmers’ Market in the morning. They are so gorgeous it seemed a shame to eat them so we spent about half an hour photographing them first!
I love the fact that Devilish will make gluten free cupcakes as both Lorna and I have family members with coeliac and it is quite hard to find cakes and suchlike for important occasions like birthdays. Yay for Devilish.
Just think of how much fun I would have with these if I had my proper camera out!
There was a gorgeous sunset over the hill as we went past Harry Ferguson’s statue and birth-place last night.
Of course I had to get out and snap this with the iPhone.
I wonder how often he stood there, looking off over the fields. . . with a spanner in his hand . ..
We had an unexpected guest in the studio today.
She is 8 weeks old. I couldn’t steal her away to get a proper studio photo of her, and she moved about too much for the iPhone to be able to produce anything without blur – but – isn’t she gorgeous?

There was a DOUBLE rainbow on the way home this evening, then further up the road there was torrential rain, and by the time we got home we were hit with hailstones!

Anyone who has been in the studio lately will know that Maaike and I are both Apple Geeks, and we have the tee shirts to prove it! We both have iMac computers, Mac laptops, vintage Macs hiding away, and have both upgraded recently to iPhones.
This leads us on to two new categories for our blog. The first is us sharing with you, and chatting about, our favourite iPhone applications (if you aren’t iPhone savvy, this won’t mean much to you!) and the second is iPhone Photo of the Day! Which is very much just what it says on the tin – we will try to share with you photos we have taken with our iPhones, on a fairly regular basis.
The photos will probably not be from studio sessions, more likely to be fun, or family orientated, and could be by either of us. When I say “Photo of the Day”, don’t panic if we skip a couple of days! Don’t be surprised if there are loads of chickens, dogs, and cats involved. . . .
